“I have always celebrated Eid with my family in Mumbai. I remember going to the Bandra Masjid with my father.”
“The only memory I have of Eid is from my college days in Delhi, when we would sometimes go to a friend’s house to eat sevaiyan.”
The emerging actor remembers Eidi above everything on Eid feast. “I remember going to my nani’s (maternal grandmother) house as a kid. That was the only time of the year when I used to meet all my cousins. I was the youngest, so I used to love collecting the eidi. I wasn’t a big fan of biryani back then, but I loved the kheer my aunts used to make. I miss those days.”
Saif Ali Khan
Mr. Pataudi recall that his relatives used to come to his grandmother’s palace in Bhopal. And yes! He would get eidi too. The most fun part included watching the cannon in the courtyard be fired to signal the time for iftar. It was an unforgettable sound and sight.
