ISLAMABAD: The recent US sanctions on Tehran will not affect Pak-Iran gas pipeline project, Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit said Tuesday.

Talking exclusively to SAMAA correspondent Fiaz Raja, he said American concerns over Pak-China civil nuclear deal bear no meanings.

About the upcoming talks between Pakistan and India, he ruled out any major breakthrough, saying there are still many contentious issues between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

To a question, the foreign office spokesman said the relations between India and Pakistan cannot improve without the solution of the Kashmir dispute.
