Govt to crack down on banned outfits
LAHORE: The Government of Punjab, admitting the presence of terrorists, has finally decided to crack down on banned outfits operating in Lahore and south Punjab.
The decision came at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore today.
The Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Punjab Police and Special Home Secretary also attended the meeting.
According to sources, the decision to launch an operation was taken in the light of information obtained from the detained terrorists.
In this regard, police and spy agencies have been directed to crack down on banned militant outfits in Lahore and other cities.
