PM orders withdrawal of privileges from Nab’s PG
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has ordered taking back the privileges sanctioned to Prosecutor General of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The PM Gilani directed Law Secretary to implement the judicial verdict and withdraw all privileges of the Nab from Irfan Qadir.
The apex court ordered the sacking of the Prosecutor General in Haris Steel case on the plea by Bank of Punjab’s counsel. Subsequently, Irfan Qadir went to Lahore from the federal capital.
However, he appeared before media yesterday and said while talking to Geo News, ‘I was legally appointed by President Asif Ali Zardari and still I am the Nab’s Prosecutor General.’
The PM Yousuf Raza Gilani, taking notice of the reports regarding Irfan Qadir’s defiance of the court order, ordered Law Secretary to implement the court’s ruling and take back the privileges from Irfan Qadir.![]()
