KHYBER AGENCY: A power explosion occurred in Landi Kotal town of Khyber agency Thursday, blew up a mosque and a shrine, sources said.

According to political sources, the incident took place early morning in Ishkhel town located near Landi Kotal.

Some unknown militants blew up a shrine and 100 years old mosque, Masjid-e-Ishkhel, with explosive material late Wednesday night and managed to flee.

However, no loss was reported in the incident.

Political sources blamed a banned organization responsible for the incident.

Thousands of devotees would come to visit those shrines that have been demolished with explosion, mosque caretaker said.
