When my daughter had to move in with us recently due to her having to get a divorce, she brought our 8 month old blessed granddaughter with her. She is a wonderful baby who smiles alot and is so active and bubbly. She brings delight to everyone who meets her.

A grandchild living with you will be a blessing if you realize that they are going to make your life more exciting. my granddaughter keeps me busy from the time her mommy leaves for work until she comes home from work. my granddaughter and I play with her toys, I read to her, she watches educational baby videos and swings. We learn new things together.

I have alot more time and patience with my grandchildren than I had with my own children growing up. I realize the importance structure and somewhat of a routine for their day, and the stability that they need to grow and thrive. Love and nurturing are number one of course.

She keeps me moving and keeps me feeling younger. When the weather is nice we go for walks and sometimes we make a trip to the store together.

When her mommy comes home from work, she takes over the responsibilities of care giving, and grandma gets to rest.

I love every moment of watching her grow and learn to crawl, talk, play, be curious, try to walk, and of course the list goes on and on.

When your grandbaby lives with you, you develop a very close bond with them. I think that I try to use my years of experience to do things with her that I didn’t realize the importance of when my kids were babies.

They won’t always live here, as my daughter will find a place to live and they will be on their own. But while they live with us, I will be making the most of each day to give my granddaughter a happy life. Her pa pa will also.
