LAHORE: The Anti-corruption Tribunal of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), while dismissing two demands of accused cricketer Khalid Latif in the spot-fixing case and accepting as many, ordered him to submit his written reply till Aug 9.
Khalid’s applications for supply of video recordings of PCB’s witnesses and for recalling of PCB witnesses for cross examination have been dismissed.
However, the tribunal accepted his applications for supply of attested copies of the documents produced by PCB’s witnesses and PCB’s written arguments and for adjournment of proceedings till disposal of miscellaneous applications.
It may be mentioned that the tribunal had ordered Khalid to submit his written reply in the case till July 26, but Khalid submitted four applications instead of it.
“With the disposal of all pending applications, the Tribunal has directed Khalid Latif to file final written arguments by August 9, 2017, failing which the matter will be decided on the basis of material already available on record, without granting any further adjournment within 30 days as mandated by the Code for Participants,” a PCB press release stated.
